Absolutely! Some projects I require one, but if you’d like to see the shop and meet me in person prior to booking a tattoo appt, that can be arranged.

I sure will! If you are simply stumped on what you’d like to get tattooed but are wanting to collect a piece of my work, I am more than happy to fulfill this request. I have the most fun creating tattoos with complete creative control, and feel they are some of my best work.
-
Depending on the imagery and occasion, yes. These days I prefer to tattoo 1-4 clients maximum per day, but feel free to send your inquiry and we can chat details from there! If the tattoos are very small, I’m sometimes able to accept groups under 11 people.
-
I do when I have the time, feel free to call the shop at 231-421-1344 if you’re keen to get a spur-of-the-moment tattoo.

Refer to the ‘Tattoo-Care’ tab on this site for a detailed description, but the bare minimum I require is to ensure you are hydrated, well rested, and have eaten 1-2 hours prior to our appointment.
-
Something comfortable! Clothing that makes it easy for me to access the area I’ll be tattooing. IE: For a back tattoo, a button down shirt works well. For a sternum piece, a bikini top/pasties are perfect. If you’ll be getting tattooed on your thigh, bring shorts to change into at the shop.
You can discuss specifics with me if you are still unsure.
-
The healing process is much easier when there is no numbing agent involved, as they change the texture of the skin and it becomes much more difficult to fully saturate the pores with pigment when they’re applied.
I am happy to discuss the logistics of why I do not prefer to use numbing agents during our consultation.
Please discuss the use of numbing agents with me prior to purchase/application.
-
I do not like to be rushed when I am at the studio, so it is best if you don’t have any obligations directly after our appointment.
I will give you an estimate on time frame, which will depend on the size, placement, and complexity of design.
At this time, I works in four hour blocks for larger projects, so your session shouldn’t exceed that.
-
You may bring one guest, a snack/meal/beverage (depending on the session length), headphones/a book, fidget toys, emotional support water bottles~I’m pretty open.
-
If you are…
-Pregnant or Breastfeeding
-Sunburnt
-Sick
-If you will be going on vacation within one month after getting tattooed
If any of these situations arise, please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule. Per my deposit policy, an appointment rescheduled within 72 hours of our appointment will result in your deposit being forfeited, and I will require a new deposit to re-schedule your appointment.

You’ll want to avoid setting your fresh tattoo on any workout equipment, as it’s an open wound- your sweat is fine, but others sweat is not. If you are working out a part of your body and the tattoo feels tight or it is painful, you are likely negatively effecting the healing process, and should avoid that movement until the tattoo has healed.
-
Absolutely not. You should avoid saunas, swimming, hot tubs, and exposure to uv rays for 14 days.-this includes tanning beds.
-
I provide one free touch up on tattoos I have done within one year of the original tattoo date~if you followed the after care instructions and it didn’t heal properly. Failure to follow tattoo aftercare will result in a touch-up fee if your tattoo heals wonky and requires one.
If you feel your tattoo needs a touch up, send a photo of the tattoo & an email to schedule.
We must wait six weeksfrom the initial appointment before working on the tattoo in order for it to fully heal.
If you inquire about a touch up past the one year mark of being tattooed, I will require at minimum a set-up fee ($40,+).
-
At this time, I do not tattoo minors, though I will make an exception for memorial tattoos.
-
If I feel like I can create a successful coverup, yes. I am also happy to do a blast over if you’d like your old tattoo gone & don’t wish to go through any laser removal treatments.
Flexibility on the client’s part is necessary when covering up a tattoo in order to achieve the best results.
I most always require an in-person consultation prior to scheduling such a tattoo appointment.
